Hall of Remembrance

I managed the delivery of an interactive digital recreation of the unbuilt Hall of Remembrance, enabling users to experience a First World War memorial that was designed but never constructed.

Working with historical reference material, I coordinated the project from concept through to delivery, ensuring the virtual environment accurately reflected Charles Holden's original vision while showcasing commissioned works by renowned war artists in their intended setting.

The team developed a web-based, interactive 360° experience using architectural sketches and examples of Holden's existing buildings to recreate the gallery in 3D.

The finished experience allows users to explore the Hall virtually, navigate between spaces and discover the stories behind the artworks, bringing an important piece of unrealised British heritage to life for modern audiences.
